Dr. Gibbs was born and raised in Anchorage. After attending medical school at the University of Washington, she and her husband returned to Anchorage to begin practicing. Dr. Gibbs joined AWC in 2003.

In her spare time, she and her husband used to enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing—now they enjoy their new daughter.
