Beth graduated from the University of Vermont in 1992 and later that year moved to Anchorage. In 2006, Beth received a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Beth is the Alaska Co-Coordinator for Postpartum Support International, and is a member of the Alaska Counseling Association. Beth feels that the decision to begin counseling can be a life-altering one. She approaches her work with individuals with this in mind. “My style as a counselor is interactive, respectful and supportive as I collaborate with clients to create lasting, positive changes in their lives and relationships. Through my experience I have developed faith that individuals seeking to make changes in their lives can do so.” She specializes in perinatal mental health including: pregnancy, postpartum adjustment (depression and anxiety), identity transitions in early parenthood, and pregnancy loss. She is a recently trained EMDR provider. Beth is married and has a daughter. She spends her free time having fun with family and friends. She also enjoys reading, painting and cannot go a day without eating something crunchy. You might be surprised to know that she is a classically trained flautist!
